Boston
Bows GTuned™ Sub Enclosures
July 31, 2006
Peabody,
MA—July 31, 2006—Boston Acoustics,
Inc., a premier manufacturer of high performance audio
solutions for use in mobile aftermarket and OEM automotive
systems, home music audio and video systems, and custom
built-in audio systems, has announced a new line of cost-effective
yet very high-performance pre-fabricated enclosures incorporating
its 10- and 12-inch subwoofers for automotive and other
mobile-sound applications. Boston has engineered eight
new cabinets for single and dual 10- and 12-inch applications,
encompassing sealed, ported, and passive-tuned-radiator
designs.
Each
of Boston’s new GTuned™ enclosures is
a dedicated design specifically engineered to optimize
the performance of one of Boston’s own 10- and 12-inch
subwoofers. Offered in two families, the no-compromise
G5 models and the high-performance G2. What’s more,
the GTuned enclosures were designed by the very same engineering
team that created these widely praised subwoofers, and
each design was real-world tested in numerous vehicles
and applications. The result, a performance solution with
no compromises, regardless of listening tastes or budget.
Each
of the GTuned enclosures shares the inherent advantages
of extension, output, value, and
space efficiency. And
in every case the Boston enclosures are built right, using
true 3/4-inch MDF throughout and employing highly accurate
and CNC machining to craft all panels. Fully mitered lock
joinery on all corners and full-contact gluing ensure rigid,
rugged, vibration-resistant construction. Boston’s
special port design maximizes surface area while maintaining
strict cabinet rigidity in the PS models, while all eight
models get solid, flush-set terminal cups to ensure air-tightness
(and to minimize chance encounters with passengers or cargo),
and feature heavy-duty, nickel-plated push-terminals for
easy hookup and portability. The GTuned enclosures are
finished in dark-grey premium automotive carpet with black
side inserts and are delivered complete and ready for drop-in
installation.
The Boston Acoustics GTuned family of subwoofer enclosures
are shipping now at the following suggested prices:
